If you've never been overseas, you're missing out. Because as great as wonderful and beautiful as America is, there is something missing. Something which unites people and gives them the most fantastic natural high one can experience without traveling to the moon. I'm talking about the sport of futbol, of course. Or soccer, if you prefer.

Yes, "soccer" has become more popular in this country. Kids all over the country play the game on a weekly basis. High Schools all over this great land have teams, and college scholarships are available for those who excel. But the professional level is where things seem to lack a bit of...spark.

As Barcelona prepares to tangle with Real Madrid in "El Clasico" this week, I can't help but hope that one day the game of futbol will become a national passion in the United States the way it has in so many nations around the globe.
